The War Museum's seven display halls with their unique exhibits and dioramas as well as the numerous outside exhibits provide the visitor with an overview of the background, course, impact and suffering caused by the Anglo-Boer War that was fought between the two Boer Republics of the Transvaal and the Orange Free State and Great Britain from 1899-1902. The War Museum has the largest collection of Anglo-Boer War related objects and memorabilia in the world, therefore these objects on display bear testimony to the fact that this war caused only suffering for all parties involved.
