Please note that the search terms are in Afrikaans only. Try to search for universal keywords such as surnames, battles, concentration camps, prisoner-of-war camps etc. For example: ‘Kruger’, ‘Magersfontein’, ‘Diyatalawa’ or ‘Bethulie’.
Most of the information on the database is provided in Afrikaans.
Most of the physical documents are only available in Dutch or Afrikaans.
However, the War Museum is embarking on a translation project to standardise and translate our search term functionality in English, that will be implemented as we progress.
